Although they cannot be predicted exactly, load assumptions are indispensable for safety considerations.\u00a0<em>Arbostat\u00a0<\/em>offers a comprehensible way of estimating expected wind loads that can occur in trees.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-57c3309 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"57c3309\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Wind parameters based on standards<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-18b33fd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"18b33fd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><em>Arbostat<\/em>\u00a0follows the mathematical approaches of Eurocode 1 and uses terrain categories, which are included in national standards for building aerodynamics, to estimate how the buildings and topography in the vicinity of a tree affect the structure of the wind. In addition, adjustments can be made to small-scale flow influences, e.g. from neighboring buildings or trees.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c86fb9d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c86fb9d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Evaluation of the dynamic behavior<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5fa69f3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5fa69f3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Vibrating structures react dynamically in a turbulent wind flow. While resonance can lead to an upswing resulting in an increased risk of failure, force peaks can be cushioned or reduced by damping, triggered by movements of the branch structure of a tree. These phenomena have been scientifically investigated on trees in recent years. The dynamic behavior of trees is integrated into the calculations in the ArboStat and TreeCalc software.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0ada9f6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0ada9f6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Equivalent static wind load<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2373394 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2373394\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><em>ArboStat<\/em>\u00a0provides the latest research results for estimating the vibration properties of trees. In accordance with DIN 1055-4, an equivalent static load is calculated that causes the same deflection as a gusty storm.
