The specialized software Arbostat allows to carry out wind load analysis based on current standards and to evaluate the results of tree static pulling tests with high-resolution sensors (strain gauges, inclinometers, dynamometers) according to state-of-art engineering approaches.

Evaluating pulling tests using the specially developed Arbostat software requires a basic knowledge of mechanics and wood physics, a clear understanding of safety appraisal according to engineering principles, plus experience in estimating wind load on trees and their dynamic reactions to it.

Training in the ArboStat software prior to its purchase is mandatory. TreeConsult regularly offers courses for small groups.

Windloads

Models from Eurocode 1 and DIN 1055-4
Vibration dynamics of trees exposed to wind

Breaking Stability

Analysis of fiber strain based on pulling test
Extrapolation until the limit of elasticity

Tipping Stability

Estimates of lower inclination at stem base
Verified prognosis of required tipping load

Performance Range Arbostat

  • Evaluation of wind load
  • Determination of breaking stability
  • Determination of structural safety
  • Presentation and transfer of data
