TreeAsset

TreeAsset is a GIS-supported software for Windows desktop PCs for the monetary valuation of tree populations. At the core of the software is a powerful database that supports experts and caseworkers in performing complex tree valuation calculations or assessing monetary damages.

TreeAsset can be used either as a module within the expert software iSiMan 5 for consultants or as a standalone lightweight solution. Using the mobile software iSiDroid, data can be collected in the field via Android smartphones or tablets and subsequently processed in the desktop version.

TreeAsset is also available as a standalone solution equipped with a WebGIS module, allowing all operations to be displayed and utilized within a geographic context. A query module with standard queries enables data analysis. A diagram module allows for the visualization of data relationships.

The calculation methodology used in TreeAsset is based on the modified cost approach by KOCH, which also forms the basis of the FLL guidelines currently under revision.

TreeAsset also enables the calculation of large tree populations through specialized copy and grouping functions.

As a result, users receive a clearly structured, transparent, and easy-to-follow report, which, when included as an appendix to an appraisal report, allows clients to trace all computational steps in a step-by-step manner.
